On the weekend, enjoying breakfast with your friends is a fabulous way to start the day.
Whether you're craving sizzling bacon, fluffy eggs, or syrup-smothered pancakes, you can find all the above at an eatery near our Downtown Lincoln apartments.
Here are a few favorites:
The seed for the Hub Cafe was planted at an organic dairy and creamery just outside of Lincoln. As the business grew, the owners opened the cafe as a natural extension of their business. Their mission is to share the delicious bounty of the local food community, and the produce is picked at the peak of ripeness. The service is always friendly, and the dining area features a chalkboard menu, picture windows, and plenty of seating. Morning favorites include French toast, huevos rancheros, and biscuits & gravy.
Sue Mueller-Green began cracking eggs on her family's farm as a young girl. Today, she owns Tina's Cafe, and it's one of the city's premier eateries for home cooking. She boasts that the atmosphere is brilliantly vintage with race track stars adorning the walls and a small television that plays soap operas. Friendly neighbors sit at the counter to talk about the latest news, and the stories told by Sue and her staff are endless. Breakfast is served until 11:00 a.m., and choices include blueberry pancakes, vegetarian omelets, and cinnamon sugar oatmeal.
At the Piedmont Bistro, the chef-inspired menu is full of unique takes on classic Midwestern comfort foods. All of the dishes are made from scratch using the finest, freshest ingredients. Guests are greeted with a smile, and they can choose from three dining areas designed with comfort in mind. Offerings include buttermilk pancakes, farmers hash, and the daily omelet special.
